FOREIGN RIDER CO.

Foreign Rider was established by Ralph Dunning in 2009.

With more than 30 years of experience in apparel design, Ralph founded the company to produce well-made clothing with a focus on quality materials, durable construction and classic design. Rather than following seasonal trends, the focus has always been on making clothing intended to be worn regularly and kept for years.

Ralph's passion for motorcycling is reflected throughout Foreign Rider, alongside the company's commitment to quality materials, durable construction and longevity.

MANUFACTURING

We work with a select group of mills and manufacturing partners in Toronto, Los Angeles and Japan, choosing each for their experience within a particular area of manufacturing.

Our T-shirts and heavyweight fleece are knit, dyed and sewn in Toronto. Our upcoming selvedge denim is sourced from Japanese mills, while our denim and outerwear are cut and sewn in Los Angeles by manufacturing partners with decades of experience.

Rather than producing every product in one location, each manufacturing partner is selected for the product itself. This allows us to work with some of the most respected mills and manufacturers in the industry while maintaining the standard we expect across our line.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Our team remains involved throughout every stage of product development, from fabric selection and pattern development through fit, construction and final production.

Ralph regularly visits our mills and manufacturing partners throughout the year, working directly with the people who produce our clothing. This hands-on approach allows us to remain closely involved throughout the development process while continuing to build long-term relationships with the people we work with.
