THE INSPIRATION BEHIND ANALOG
DEVELOPMENT
Each piece starts with a detailed fit specification based on fabric weight and drape. Custom engineered materials are then developed through rolls of knitted fabric and tested for durability and texture.
Fit specs are refined through multiple rounds of patterns and prototypes before production begins. A great deal of time is spent in the knitting mill, dye house and factory. We work closely with each partner to dial in the fit, fabric, and construction details.
Once the final prototype is approved, manufacturing begins in small batch production.
PROCESS
-
KNITTING MILL
Custom fabric engineering begins at a specialized knitting mill with decades of experience. Fabrics are knit to our specifications for weight, hand feel, structure and durability. This forms the foundation for every FR. piece.
-
DYE HOUSE
Knitted fabrics move through a local dyeing process controlling color, water usage and overall finish. Each batch is then monitored for shrinkage before the fabric moves into pattern cutting.
-
CUT & SEW FACTORY
All fabrics are hand-cut into individual panels and prepped for sewing. Each piece is then built with flat-lock stitching, paying careful attention to both fit and overall quality.
-
FINAL INSPECTION
Before each FR. piece leaves the factory, they are hand inspected for consistency in construction and finishing. This final step ensures the same standards established during development.
